I have already gone through one pot of the Lacura Caviar Illumination Day Cream with SPF15 and I went back to get more. You wouldn’t expect Aldi to be the place to go buy your face cream but turns out, it is. The Aldi version is only £6.99 an alternative to the much more expensive anti-ageing creams, particularly La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Cream (RRP £292.00).
I have been using this cream for a couple months now, it is branded as a ‘luxury anti-ageing cream.’ I have noticed that since using this my skin feels much softer. I have been using this in with both my Rose Hip and Jojoba oils. There are so many creams on the market and you can easily get lost with what works and what doesn’t. Then there is cost, this is a dupe of the La Prairie Skin Caviar which RRP’s at £292, this I certainly can not afford so I can not unfortunately compare the two and share my thoughts but I can honestly say that there is certainly a smoothness and gleam to my skin that wasn’t there before since using this cream and it does feel plumper.
The cream is thick in texture and glides on the skin, it is absorbed easily leaving no greasy feeling. It has an SPF so that’s another thing covered. It illuminates the skin as you can see from my photo, which in turn leaves a beautiful base for your make up. If you want to add a primer before make up I would recommend the Nivea Men’s Sensitive Post Shave Balm as it allows the glow from the cream come though, it is like applying a little moisture mask each morning.
I have tried so many creams and to date this is my favourite, my only concern is that Aldi stop selling the product in their stores.
